Light Is Our Commodity - The World Is Our Market
Rules of the game fo China Lohuis Team members
1. Any person with decent and good communication skills maybe qualified to be accepted in the China Lohuis Team to work inside the team with his colleagues from all over China to help the success of the company in obtaining 10% of total China exports in the lighting field. We do not discriminate in any way about age, gender or whatever. People with specific lighting experience have a pro and will have the title of productmanager when they join the team. A basic rule is that all team members have basic computer knowledge and they know how to handle internet and email communication.
2. As long as a nearby office is not yet accomodated, team members can freely work from their home. When necessary a computer and other tools maybe made available by the company. Such investments are considered as a loan and when the relationship terminates such loan has to be paid back to the company or the equipment must be surrendered to the employer.
3. Every team member has a sponsor. The sponsor is usually the person who introduced the new member to the LOHUIS company. The sponsor receives a 10% share of all the bonusses the new team member may acquire in the company as a result of his hard and intelligent work within the team. The sponsor will always receive a copy of all communications that the new member has made. The sponsor will keep a record of a rough estimate of the number of hours that the new member has worked on a monthly basis and report it to the employer. Any sponsor can not have more than 10 team members in his group at any one time.
4. Each team member reports the hours worked in a month to his sponsor with explanation of what he has done in the benefit of the company during those hours. Every team member sends copy of all his emails to his sponsor sothat the sponsor may have a fair judgement of how much work the member has achieved.
5. After one month of work a team member will be compensated for the number of hours spent as working time according to the average rates per hour paid in his district for junior or senior office assistants. The actual rate will be negotiated between the member and the Lohuis Shanghai secretary office. A member has also right of compensation of reasonable expenses made to fulfil the duties of his job against surrender of the tax-vouchers obtained.
6. A member will be allocated a certain lighting product or product group for which he will act as the product manager. The broadness of the range of products will be reduced as the company grows. Customers obtained by the member will, however, always remain to be the customers of such member and will not be transfered to another member unless payment of compensation. Every product manager will thus inform all the other members of the quality and prices of his products available to the Lohuis' customers. On receipt of such product information the members will pass on this information to their customers and targetted customers.
7. A member will be allocated a certain territory of countries in which he may be active to sell his and other member's products. The territory will be reduced if and when the company grows and when more team members have to share in a narrower market place. Customers obtained in the territory will, however, always remain to be the customers of the team member.
8. In principle every team member is also responsible for the quality of the product supplied by factories which are located near to his place of operation. The team member then is the inspector of all the goods ordered from nearby factories. Th team member is also considered to be the Lohuis' representative in all social contacts with those factories. He will also introduce their existing and new products to the product manager in the team responsible for such (group of) products.
9. When a team member leaves the company or stops his activities for the company he will surrender all knowledge about the business to his successor. The customers in such a case are always the property of the company.
10. For every order executed and paid for the company will distribute 1/3 of the nett profit to the shareholders of the company; 1/3 will be used for the payment of general overheads like exhibitions, advertsing, etc,, and 1/3 will be used for the team members benefits. The bonus of 1/3 of the nett profit per order will be divided as 10% to the sponsor; 15% to all team members as a group bonus; 25% to the communicator who obtained the order; 25% to the product manager and 25% to the quality inspector. In some cases a single team member can be the beneficiary of a greater part of the bonus when he or she has more tasks. This arrangement is valid for third party orders and not for intercompany business where other rules maybe adopted.
