TRIBUTE TO FORMER EMPLOYEES WHO WORKED FOR MR LOHUIS AND RECEIVED EXTENSIVE TRAINING FROM HIM:

Mr. Anton Lohuis is and always has been very good for his employees. He paid them well, gave them many side benefits from the company like a car and worked very hard to grow them up in their lives and in the company. Very often these people were allowed to travel extensively on the cost of the company to gain expertise and experience.  As a crown on the work that Mr. Lohuis achieved in his life many of them were capable to start their own company. All these companies together nowadays have a massive market share in the market of specialized lighting that Mr. Anton Lohuis has explored. "It is the ultimate goal of decentralized marketing" says Mr. Lohuis with a smiling face as always....

Mr. Jan Jacobus Vorstenbosch

(1970-1992)

Started as a warehouse boy in 1970; became the manager of LOHUIS LAMPEN BvbA in Belgium in 1978; started later on his own business as Vorstenbosch Electro BvbA, then after Electro Vorstenbosch BvbA, then Vorstenbosch Lampen BV, then Vorstenbosch Light BvbA and latety as Vorstenbosch Lite BvbA

Mr. Willi Schiefer

(1971-1996)

Started for half days office clerk in 1971 when he combined his job with the work as an electricien, later on became a shop manager within the company and office manager later on. Always remembered as a small guy but big in small things.... Started his own business in 1996 as SCHIEFER LAMPEN BV

Mr. Hans Verheijen

(1977-1992)

Started as a junior account manager and always remembered as a very hard working person with a charming personality for which even today Mr. Lohuis has high regards. Joined the company of Aart Aaldijk  in 1992 and got shares there because of the knowledge he brought along with him. Hans became the real driving force of that company known as BAILEY ELECTRIC BV 

Mr Andre de Graaf

(1978-1991)

Started as an assistant in the warehouse. Grew up to be assistant in the office and handling export documents. Started his own business as SPOTLIGHT BvbA in Belgium.

Mr. Adri Zagers

(1978-1991)

Started as assistant account manager and grew up to account manager handling countries like South Africa. Still remembered for halogen lamp customers in Germany that never paid the bills, and still good laughs about the mistake he made when he confused the length and diameter of lamps ordered in the factory. Nobody had ever seen such strange lamps! Found investors and started his "own" company VEZALUX BV in 1991.

Mr. Aart Aaldijk

(1978-1987)

Started as a branch manager of LAMPES LOHUIS SARL in France and then was moved to be manager of NIPPON LOHUIS CO LTD in Tokyo in 1982. Because of the enormous expenses living in Tokyo as a foreigner with his family and 4 children in the international school he was replaced by a Japanese lady Masako Funabashi in 1986.. When he came back to Holland he was always fighting with Mr Willi Schiefer (see above) and finally he left the company to start his own business as BAILEY ELECTRIC BV. This company had no results at all until Mr Hans Verheijen joined him in 1991 (as above).

Mr. Yala Bachir

(1979-1992)

Started as a sales representative  in LAMPES LOHUIS S.A.R.L. in France and became director there in 1982. Whilst he was employed as a director with good salary in the French company he started his own company CELAMCO SARL in 1985 making good profits as the agent of OSRAM in ALGERIA.

Mr. Bernard Mc Cann

(1982-1992)

Started as deputy manager in LOHUIS LAMPS LTD in England in 1982. Then in 1987 he was appointed as director of a new branch LOHUIS USA in Santa Rosa, California. Because of continuing losses for 5 consecutive years Mr. Lohuis closed down this company in 1992 after which Bernard started his own company there.

Ms. Masako Funabashi

(1982-1992)

Started as a secretary to to Mr Aart Aaldijk in Nippon Lohuis Co. Ltd in 1981 and followed up the position of her boss in 1986. Managed the company quite well until its closure in 1991 when it was obvious that Japanese factories could no longer compete with the lighting industry in Korea and Taiwan. Started her own business ever since and still supplies some high tech lighting products to some of Mr. Lohuis'previous customers like LEGO Systems A/S in Denmark.

Mr. Martin van Son

(1986-1996)

Started as product manager for all products made in Romania factories in those days. Very much respected by Mr. Lohuis for his intelligence. Later got married to the secretary of Mr. Lohuis "Lutgarde van Loon". Spent a lot of work and time to evaluate the system of franchise and worked well in the Dubai branch. Became independent in 1996 and started his own company INTER NOVA BV together with Frank van der Berg who was his assistant in Lohuis for a couple of years.

 Mr. Theo Mackaay

(1989-1992)

Joined the LOHUIS INTERNATIONAL company in 1989 when Mr Lohuis himself was extremely busy with all developments in Eastern Europe when one revolution there followed the other in an unbelievable speed. Mr Mackaay was nominated as the General Director of the company to secure the daily management. He worked before is less responsible positions in other famous companies like OSRAM Netherlands and BERNARD, an electrical wholesaler in The Netherlands as well. At first Mr. Lohuis praised Mr. Mackaay as the latter almost never spoke a word. "This is a man that knows how to listen and think and accordingly does not speak much " so said Mr Lohuis. But one year later when Mr Mackaay still kept the silence and failed to take all necessary decisions he was supposed to take in the daily management we all changed our mind of course. This was not the wise man as expected but just the one who did not know how to be a leader....
