High & Low Voltage Lamps

High and low voltage lamps obviously have design voltages considerably higher or lower than the common 120 volt or 220V types. High voltage lamps are designed at specific points between 220 and 300 volts. These lamps have longer, finer, less efficient filaments because they carry a lower current than standard lamps. Low Voltage lamps are generally classed from 6 to 64 volts. They are more efficient than the popular 120 volt and 220V  types and are used where the power supply is either portable or local
