Notes Before Using Mercury Lamp Ballasts
1. Supply voltages shall be as close as rated voltages. In general, allowable fluctuation of supply voltage is ¡À5% for choke type ballasts, and ¡À10% for constant wattage type ballasts.
2. Wattages and frequencies more than rating must be avoided. Especially, improper use for instance, the use of 60Hz ballast on 50Hz circuit, may occur explosion.
3. Ambient temperature for standard units is from - 20¡æ to 40¡æ. Generally, when the ambient temperature is high, durability of windings or capacitors will be weakened, while when it is too low, lamp-starting will become hardand also capacitors will be wrong. Therefore, where thetemperature is lower or higher than the above range, special considerations should be given.

Conduit entry ¨D Four 28(1?) max. Specify the position and size when ordering. + Other voltages are also available on request. + The ballasts are of high power type as standard. Constant wattage type and low starting current type(200V) can be supplied by special order. + However, the constant wattage type cannot be used for high pressure sodium lamps.
|
|
The FBH Mercury ballasts are designed, in consideration of various circumstances in hazardous outdoor areas for the purpose of safety of a high degree in order to increase the strength and weatherproofness of enclosures and to prevent electrical failures in built-in parts. These ballasts are the same as those attached to our flameproof and it is increased safety in mercury fittings and high pressure sodium fittings. The electrical data and ¡®Cautions in Use¡¯ are applicable to all the ballasts of above fittings.
Features
¡ð The main body is made extremely strong against the internal pressure of explosion and external impact.
¡ð The built-in capacitor is not embedded in compound so as to lessen the influence of heat of the windings.
¡ð The terminal box is the same as the mounting box of FAH or ISH Mercury Lighting Fitting, etc. and has a large access cover for wiring on the opposite side of the entry for ballast housing.
