CCFL is kind of new light source when the society developed to practical period of the late 20th century. It adopts the new rare-earth technology, chemical technology and electric and electronic technology, applies new materials, structures and processions to go with the tide of energy saving and environment protecting of the times.
The usual lamp ends its life mostly because the filament burns out or the active substance evaporates and runs out. However the CCFL has no filaments. Its electrodes made of special alloy and covered with particular materials to make the electrons arouse properly at a lower temperature and reduce the splashing losses. All of the features guarantee the long life of the CCFL and its good anti-shock property.
