Induction lamps are a new light source that comes in different shapes and sizes from 40W to 200W. Lower wattages like 10W  is in development now and will be available later this year. Recently 15W and 23W have become available.

These induction lamps have an almost endless life of 60.000 hours as there are no filaments inside the lamps. The temperature remains low; the lumens exceed those of fluorescent lamps and the color rendering index is more than 80. The initial investment using these lamps is still rather high.Compared to earlier quotes of Philips and Osram we have unbeatable prices!  If you calculate back per hour of lighting, no replacement costs, then the costs are quite acceptable with the great advantages that using these lamps offer especially in vibration areas like on board of ships and in areas where explosionproof lamps are needed. Underground, subway, ships, tunnels etc. are good applications.
